Like they won't expect me to do anything and I feel very at home that I can shit in peace and also fall asleep quite easily.
I think if your bf's parents are very demanding and unreasonable it puts a lot of stress on the relationship.
And the classic question of "if your mum and me both fall into the water, who will you save?" will appear.
So far nope, never ask mr gan such ridiculous question.

Chinese new year came earlier for me!
Cause of my awesome 3 days week timetable!
For those who is interested:

Hahaha anyhow drawn timetable.
The main purpose of this is for me to know where my lessons are.
3 days very shiok!
But I have 6 hours straight and 8 hours straight on monday and tuesday respectively okay.

Last weekend was baby joash baby shower!
I made 160 brownies for the guest!
Baby favours.
And it’s well received!

All 80 packs!
Tiring. Spent like my entire saturday afternoon on it!

Also last thursday, I accompanied my sister to deliver all the red eggs and stuff to the relatives.

It’s a really nice customised box with joash’s name

and they included a customised card with Joash’s photo on it.

Short post on what I noticed about myself.

About 2 weeks ago, I went megazip with my friends.

Basically it consists of a 3 levels high obstacle course, a 4 levels high not-so-freefall and rock climbing.

There should be a flying fox, but apparently some angmo flew out of it or they say.

Ah well. Better be safe.

Anyway. I used to be this Garang I can do whatever shit person.

So I went there still thinking I'm this kind of person.

Ok I survived the obstacles course. didnt chicken out or anything.

Just shivered abit on the ropes. and ponder why did I even put myself through this.

I realised my physical is very lousy. LOL.

New Year Resolutions

Here's my resolutions for 2011 and whether I achieve it.

1) GPA 5! (ok if I fail to get GPA 5 this sem I can say goodbye to it forever) NO!! HAHAHHA ok pretty much expected.
2) MUST MUST MUST keep my scholarship. If I lose it, I will lose it. YES!
3) Be a even wonderful gf and friend and daughter and sister. HMM... Maybe? Maybe not?
4) Must earn money! YES! I worked during summer
5) Have better memory ER.. first part of 2011 yes. then second part no.
6) Learn a new skill (manicure or smth) I think no? Did I?
7) Have 26hours a day NO!
8) Be happy and spread the joy ER.... I dont know?

For 2012:
1) Better Health (I was plague with illness last year and it's very depressing and $$, so health very important!)
2) Be a even even wonderful gf, friend, daughter, sister and AUNTY!
3) Enjoy my internship
4) Maintain scholarship and possibly pull up my CAP
5) Have 26 hours a day
6) Learn a new skill (I think sewing is interesting recently)

Christmas Shopping.

It’s like finally after many years I’m heading to town to do some Christmas shopping.
Going to town means I get to wear some nicer clothes and put on makeup.
Not like I can’t do these on normal days, I just need more reasons to do so.
(Lazy)
and I need to ensure there’s someone to see the amount of effort I put in.
HAHAHAHHA.

Come on, you go to school dress nicely and put on make up people will only ask
”why you wear until so nice?”
”Going out later?”
if your answer is no, and you will be deemed as weird.
maybe it’s NTU.
ok so far I only received such questions once and I’m indeed heading out after school.

He’s quite thrilled.

The last time I stepped in Toy’r’us was to buy a witch hat.

Having to buy 12months+ and 24months+ gifts with no experience at all,
we had to test all of them and rationalise how educational are them.
We sort of concluded that a toy with more functions( like can press, turn and stack) is a better toy.
Don’t know if that’s true.

Messy Floor

I just off and on my laptop 3 times.
Some internal conflict on whether I should use the laptop,
since my floor is damn messy.

I just emptied one of these drawers

to tidy the stuff inside cause I’m having difficulty opening and finding my stuff.
Anyway I got this cabinet from IKEA.
I guess you cant expect much from IKEA,
its kinda lousy.
Plus, I think this cabinet is originally designed to contain clothes and not my paper stuff and what’s not.
So I guess I’m gonna spoilt it soon. =O

I lost the motivation to tidy it.
I get very motivated to tidy stuff when I see some damn neat table or how people organize their stuff.
Ah well guess I shall get my ass moving
else I will probably slip at night.

Mr Gan is currently in a state of jubilancy,
cause he successfully troubleshoot his iphone.

I think the satisfaction comes from the fact that his curiosity is satisfied.

Looks damn weird and I don't know how to format my paras.

This is by far the best sem break I had since I entered uni.
The first one only started like a few days before christmas and the last one I went for internship which is mega tired.

Anw I went to see baby joash today again!
He's sooooooo cute!!!
And I carried him around which I think isn't really comfortable for him :(
No experience. Ah well it will get better!

Recently I have been nuaing at home.
I'm a nuaster anw. Thank god mr gan is a nuaster too.
We can just sit on the sofa for hours just watching movies or snacking.
Recently he downloaded pokemon yellow into my iPad which I had been playing!

my mama and I went to Mt.A to visit her daughter, my sister
and her grandson, my nephew.

No, Im not kidding.
I feel very accomplished after completing some complex task.
(of course getting down to doing it is one thing)
Im aware that I have always enjoy this busy feeling,

Ytd, it suddenly occured to me that,
I have no non-academics stuff to do this semester.
so I frantically went to join back the club I was in last year.
I was so preoccupied with hall production, hall social sub committee and investment club activites

that suddenly without anything,
I felt naked.

need to find something to do.

that's why I think that I will never be able/want to be a TaiTai~
It will be too boring for me.
I rather take the money and start a business.

School and travelling to school is draining.
Finally today I get an afternoon off!
That’s because I ponned my elective.
I have been ponning my electives since last year.

School work is getting tougher.

anyway I got this super lame module this sem.
Which is only 1 AUs but takes up 3 hours a week.
starts at 830 somemore.
personally I was bored by the seminar.

I am an eagle.

Then they got 1 for 1!!
which is very awesome.

Realisation

I went back to work today,
after a week of break.
I thought all was well,
until I had a terrible stomach ache
which forced me to cab home.
I suspect it’s mild food poisoning.

I kept complaining to my friends on whatapps.
saying that I cant even stand up for more than a min.
saying Im very sway and someone must be cursing me for all that happened.
I was feeling very bitter.
like why is one thing happening to me after another?

Then I saw the channel 8 show.
The one where zhou chong qing went to impoverished countries,
teach them skills and sell the goods they made for charity.
they showed this girl with HIV,
who constantly has stomachache,
and will always puke after eating.
How apt.

It’s like a slap in my face telling me to wake up and stop indulging in self pity.
Mine was just a few minor health issues compared to theirs.
what they go through daily is 100x worse than what I went through my whole life.
I feel that I have not been doing enough charity work.
not contributing enough to the society.
Me, like many others, is too preoccupied with our own life,
with our own achievements,
such that we don’t give that little bit of kindness, of time
to others.

We are too self-centered.
We only want to enrich ourselves,
earn more money, satisfy our material wants, improve our appearance, fulfill our own happiness.
Such a realisation, makes me feel so ashamed of myself,
of people who constantly complain about their life,
of people who indulges in meaningless things.

We should do something for others, for society, for those in need.

today I went cycling with Mr Gan.
And we tried the double bike!!
cause I very curious about it.
turns out its very traumatic.. D=

So it started off with him cycling infront.
It feels so weird to not be able to maneuver ..
I have the natural tendency to try to turn the bike which will affect his direction.
so after a while it got better.

Then also I cannot brake.
so I feel very #$%#^@
and I keep saying “brake brake”

Finally since both pedals are joined.
and he got the tendency to pedal faster than I do…
I will miss the pedal at times and my leg is left floating in the air,
trying to catch the pedal back..
Which I will end up saying “miss! miss! don’t so fast!!”

Yup very challenging.
try it out someday.
I failed as the front driver. LOL.
totally cannot make it.

staying with your in-laws?

A topic which I think is very important.
and will affects us sooner or later.
Staying together with people you never stayed with in your life,
needs a lot of adjustment.
If you get yourself an accommodating in-laws,
good for you!
If not, prepare for suffering and also argument with your spouse.

I believe most couples would prefer to stay by themselves than with their in-laws.
Be it for the need of personal space, or for the sake of fairness.
It’s either my parents or your parents.
Since choosing either of which will result in unfairness,
choose neither of which.
Settled.

However,
girls tend to have higher probability of staying with their in-laws than guys.
Because traditionally, women are 嫁出去.
Even in times like this, this fact remains.
If the girl doesn’t mind. settled.
But if the girl minds, (fairness remember?)
then stay by themselves. Settled.

This doesn’t mean the problem ends here.

What if one day your parents grow old?
Then no choice.
Their son will have to take care of them.
Bunk in together.

But.
What if they don’t have a son?
All daughters?
Which is exactly the situation I’m in.

Awesome Mr Gan came to find me for lunch today!

for something different...
I brought him to eat some hawker food I will eat with my colleagues.
At adelphi!
I previously brought yumei there to eat as well.
It's really nice and cheap.
cheap as in cheap in town luh!
compared to neighbourhood stores it's still moderately expensive.

It's because of work I get to know different places to eat.
You will not normally go these places cause if you meet your friends in town,
you will go to TCC, soup spoon, bakerzin, etc etc
yup!

Then today is tuesday!
Gelare's waffle half price!
so I dragged him to suntec to have gelare!
AWESOME!
I really love waffle!
so this makes my day relatively happier and more interesting!

Hi people!
I know I’m super lazy and never update my blog.
HAHAHAH
but I’m out everyday from 8am-8pm!
so I only have 12 hours at home,
of which 8 hours I used to sleep,
2 hours to watch tv and eat and bathe,
another 1 hour for me to do anything, which I will erm nua. =D

so as not to break my promise I shall update on my hongkong trip.
And also to keep my memory fresh on what happen.
I completely forgot about my Japan trip few years back.
Lesson learnt.

Apart from the ground floor,

What I wanted to blog about is about sleeping and in particular dreaming.
I don't know is it just me, but I always dream.
Not once I never dream.
Mr Gan was saying it's been a long time since he dream. WTS?
I just dreamt in my afternoon nap just now.
and my dream is very ridiculous and doesnt make any sense, normally reflective of what I did/think/say/watch before I sleep.
Like last time I dreamt of formulas after studying physics.

after months of not putting any ear rings or studs or sticks or anything alike,
on my ear cartilage piercing,
I decided to do so a few days ago.
Amazingly the hole is still there.

This ear piercing doesn’t fit my shu nv image right. (ok fine stop laughing)
but I… bu she de let it close…
because.. I don’t know?
Just don’t want lo. It might serve me well come days?
and it has been with me for 5 years?

and it’s a reminder of my younger days. LOLOLOL
You know last time when you were young and rebellious,
you want to do many things,
and getting many ear piercings is one of them.
It’s kinda addictive. =O. (and peer influence plays a huge part)

I don’t remember when and how and why I get the other 3 ear holes, (so many and!)
but I remember why I wanted this!
I was watching a hongkong drama,
then I saw this actress with a ear piercing on the cartilage!
then I was thinking “WAH SO CHIO”
so I jio-ed HuiminHuimin to get one too. (see peer influence + media influence)
(Not worth it for just 1 person to get the ear piercing what, somemore she so spontaneous sure ok! LOL)

so we went together and each get one.
sounds so gay right!

I passed the phone interview and is going down for the final round of interview.
That is something worth being happy about after receiving my sucky biz law ytd.

I should seriously stop whining about my biz law.

Cramps. The epitome of pain. and Panadolism

It's 6.09am in the morning now.
I woke up early because I'm a healthy person who sleeps early and wakes up early.
PUI LUH.
I woke up at some unearthly time of 5.27am with a throbbing headache
and after popping down 2 panadols I'm wide awake now.
So it's true tt panadol does contains caffeine.
If Im lucky I will be able to return to sleep after this post before my 8.30am lesson.

Just like army, which is something girls wont understand (with the exception of those who joined army)
Cramps is something guys won't EVER understand.
Saying cramps is very painful is A UNDERSTATEMENT.
maybe Im bias but I think 2 years of army is nothing compared to from-puberty-till menopause years of cramps.
Menopause is not a better option anyway too. Life sux.

I didnt have cramps when I started having my period.
It's something tt I acquired when I'm in JC. WTS?
and prior to that, I always think
"I will always trade a headache for stomachache-or-anything-within-the-same-region"

like how painful can stomachache gets?

I think tt's karma.
My cramps was(I hope it's a past tense) so horrible that I will
shiver and break out in cold sweats,
vision turns blur, seeing pixelated not green but white/black
unable to exert any strength
and at 1 point in time, I fainted, luckily in my house.
It's the darkest period in my life, pun intented.
(I think there's a blog post on it, think it's in 2009)

My mum told me "you can only pray to god and hope it will be better"
So I prayed to all forms of god. ~~to no avail.~~
It makes you sooooooo vulnerable, that I think you will submit to any god that is able to make you feel better

Yup that’s the name of my 2 sisters and mine.
I always feel that I’m very fortunate to have 2 wonderful sisters!
And being the youngest is always the best!

Like I won’t be scolded when we fight when we are young.
If I want to eat something, they will have to give up theirs.
I rmb one incident when we were young.
My er jie was going to eat her jiu chen gao (kuay lapis)
then she like to peel one layer by one layer out and lay them around the edge of the bowl.

I ran over and snatched the bowl.

So I went to city harvest with my sister today for their Easter Celebration.
Nope not a christian but I do go there at times.
I must say that the place is really quite impressive.

Then after the service went to Oredmango for yogurt!

I went to the dentist yesterday, for regular routine check up.
And it's a new dental clinic I went to.

(cause I moved house and had to leave my awesome dentist over at woodlands)
AND IT'S GOD DAMN IT PAINFUL!!!
it has been a loooooooooooooong time since I experienced pain during dental appointment.
Even the extraction of my 4 molar teeth for braces was not as painful. (ok maybe the injection was)

It was merely scaling and polishing,
and I was cringing and even retreating back although there's no more room for retreat.

My gum kept bleeding thereafter and cindy claimed that I talked in a weird way.
I'm badly traumatised...

So today we went out together to mutual celebrate our birthdays!

I believe some of my friends know that Im a magnet for weird stuff.
All things weird.
Or maybe it's just me being observant but I highly doubt so.

So yesterday I took the bus to teach tuition. (nothing weird here)
Then a woman force herself onto a seat beside me(nothing weird here too)
THEN HORROR!
Her armpit touched my arm.... AND IT'S WET #%$^^&&*&^.
Im badly traumatised...

Then next came a ah ma and grandson. (nothing weird)
But she's constantly in a panic mode, mainly worrying that her grandson will fall down while sitting down?
Her jittery state of mind is contagious... It made me quite nervous looking at her...
The power of ah ma.
But the grandson is quite cute. He keep tapping on the seat beside him to ask his ah ma to sit.

That's just yesterday alone.

I remembered a while ago a lizard dropped infront of me in hall.
WTS.
I always thought that lizards wont drop if you dont kajiao them.
Myth busted. They will drop.
I think the lizard gek kiang wanna run fast fast but it tripped over something.

Nude Lips

(I finally found out how to post titles!)

Last year when my sister was getting married, she asked me to get her a nude colour lip sticks.

I never did. LOL.

I dont know why as well, probably because I can't find one.
She then got herself a MAC cremesheen glass (don't know why the chim name but it's just lip gloss)

This colour.

But it never turns out like this before

Then I only figure out much later that you actually need to use concealer on your Lips before applying the gloss to lighten the tone of your lips.

(should have just youtube for it)

But then the idea of concealer on lips is quite repulsive to me. As if eating your lipsticks is not enough, now you have to eat your concealer too D=.

So I only realised ytd that there's lip concealer!

So I bought one.

Yea this.

While they say it's perfectly fine to just put the concealer alone, I think .. better not arh~

You will look sickly or worse ghostly.

Dyed my hair

It's not the first time Im dyeing my hair,
but since Im waiting for the bus to arrive and got nothing to blog about. LOL
I shall just do it.
So on thursday, I went to vintage studio at holland village to dye my hair.
NO SCHOOL. Say hello to the 3 days week girl.

The main purpose of dyeing my hair is to remove my white hair. (yes problem much)
So I chose a dark colour which is almost black.
Though I did comtemplate colours like ashy-green. But nah~
LOL. getting older, getting less adventurous.

So after applying what's not. They clingwraped my hair. =O

Given a choice, people generally do not do things that dont benefit them.

Unconditional love for your love ones, isnt really that unconditional afterall.

All these only differ in what you expect in return.
It can be intangible stuff like happiness or tangible stuff like money and good results.
But other than that, its the same.
Thus humans are all self-centered.

Also, recently Mr Gan and I are debating over the topic of stubborness.
He claims that I'm stubborn, but I claim tt the fact tt he claims tt Im stubborn shows that he is stubborn.
Confusing much?
Ok lets have an illustration.
Supposingly, I want to open a can in a particular way.
But he claims that it cant be open in that particular way and my insistence shows tt Im stubborn.
But I rebutted that he insisting that it cant be open in that particular way also shows tt he's stubborn.
not true? Both of us are sticking to our position.

Recently, I found a new hobby.

After moving to simei, I realised that the people here are very kiasu.
Maybe because of the large amount of Aunties and ah mas and ah gongs.
very different from woodlands.

They rush for everything.
To board the bus, to alight from the bus, to board the train, to alight from the train, to buy food. etc.
I found all of it very.. amusing.
LOL. okay abit irritating but mostly amusing.

So my hobby is to irritate them cause I found it amusing.
Most of the time the reason why they rush to board bus is to find seats.
Although I will alight 2 stops from where I board, hence no need to find a seat, I will purposely squeeze with them to board the bus. LOL.
Seeing their irritation, amuses me. LOL.
Then I will act nonchalent and find a space to stand.

Next they like to rush to alight. (Whats the rush? Chill man~)
So at times many people will squeeze past me to alight at the same stop that Im going to alight.
Then they will be irritated that they cant get through and will tsk and then force themselves through.
I find it very amusing. LOL.

Im still waiting for the time to come when someone will scold me
"EXCUSE ME IM GOING TO ALIGHT CAN YOU NOT BLOCK THE WAY?!"
then I can nonchalently tell them.

I'm finally home after a week of hall prod.
I went back to woodlands to run an errand just now.
So much memories...
I really like woodlands.
afterall I stayed there for half my life-12 years.

Vday and my 2nd anniversary when past so fast!

Uncertainty leads to stress.

Definitely don't like ambiguous situations.
School has started (or had started I'm having a serious issue with this. some english pro pls enlighten me) for 1 week.
I'm going tutorials without cherlene with me T.T. Friendless.
Not tt I have a lot of friends anyway~
But luckily there's my hall friends in FM, Suenli in IT. Bizlaw and Acc imma lonely soul~
BUT luckily my acc group mates are my last time marketing tutorial mates. and they will be in my biz law as well!
Forming group is a highly stressful thing.
Nothing is worse than getting horrible group mates.
So far so good! ( Digress hey yuzhi and co, can you all rmb the joke on so far "sofa" geddit? )

Suenli is highly hilarious. And we are so caught in the same situation. Others just don't understand how stressful it is.

I dyed and highlighted my hair.

You know I keep hearing people talking about their "dream wedding"
Then I feel very weird.
Cause I never thought about my dream wedding before.
I dont know where I wanna hold it, what dress I want, what theme, etc.
So to prevent me from being caught in such a conversation, feeling awkward.
I racked my brains nowadays.
So I got some sort of dream wedding. LOL.

I want my wedding to be like victorian style.
The laces. The corset. The pearls.
The curly bouncy updo.
I long tables instead of round tables.
isnt it awesome?

Paul Wesley looks remotely like Edward cullen(no idea whats his name~) but definitely hundred times better looking and hotter (Y)

Katong Laksa!

Went to eat Katong Laksa with Mr Gan one fine day!
It was very nice <3
You can take bus 40/32 from Bedok interchange then alight at roxy sq. cross the overhead bridge you will find it beside the chicken rice store.

Mr Gan ordered large and I ordered medium!
There's small too!
Notice that there isn't any chopsticks (Mr Gan "No chopsticks?")
ok fine I thought of the same thing when I went there the first time.
They cut the noodles for you into smaller pieces so you can just use the spoon!
(Y) Best I dont know how to use chopsticks. Spare me the misery of it sliding out of my chopsticks and splashing everything onto my clothes. (Y)(Y)

So I spent nye countdown with Mr Gan this year.
Away from the crowd, over at his house.
It's very awesome. =D
My conspiracy with his sis worked out pretty well.
He got his surprise and his speedlight.

Then ytd I spent my afternoon nua-ing at home,
watching free channels as a result of starhub's gesture of goodwill.
Then off to class gathering!

Then we had a birthday celebration for everyone. LOL
